Go get 'em boys...

So, I got the end of the quarter blues, but it is made at least a little bit better by the fact that I have a whole plethora (such a good word)  of good stuffs to show for this quarters classes.  Ill post other pieces Ive done over the quarter in the next few days.  Today tho, is all about Rosie the Riveter.  This was an assignment in Digital Paint class and it required the use of a 3-D element incorporated into the piece.  I had a pretty good amount of trouble in the beginning, as I was clunking around in Maya trying to texture my P-51's (modeled in 3dsMax) using the 3D paint tool and while it is kinda unwieldy at first, it eventually makes sense, just as any medium with some quality time put in getting to know it. After that was done, it just took a little lovin in Photoshop to make them a backdrop for her portrait.   So here she is, my hero, patron of the mechanics behind the scenes that make this country work...the one, the only...Rosie.  

Modeling 2

So, everybody is in the full swing of the finals hustle.  This is the weekend we get to forget what sleep is and bust it out....drink plenty of fluids, and remember, kiddies....pizza is a one-handed representation of all the major food groups.  Get your vitamins, eat your pizza.  Heres one final down, posts on the others coming as soon as I'm done losing my mind over the one I got left.  Also, Im thinking of permanently leashing my wacom stylus to my hand....keep losing it down the couch....

Photoshop experiments yay

No, I really diddnt have a plan with this, but came out looking an awful lot like the Queen of Hearts from W.A.R.

Evil bit-ka from which there is no escape....none.  bleghrh.  There you are, interwebs.  This is what happens when you take an avid fingerpainter and hand them tools. 

Geisha Dolls about

This is what I got out of my advanced drawing for animators class.  A charcoal piece done of a vintage geisha doll in about an hour on charcoal paper.  Woo funtimes. 

Ink Stuffs

So, I had a Lorelei bounding around my living room and tried my best to catch her in ink.

 

Aaand later, some abstract inkplay. Lorelei, Eric, and me just goofing off with some inkstuffs.  Lorelei had an accidental but welcome appearance of a scawed widdle octopus

 

Go check out the art she makes on purpose  ^_^  Fahshun is handled by my stylist.  Left to my own devices, Id wear pajamas to class >_<

I went in and touched up her ear so that it actually look-a like-a ear and did somethin with the flowery bit in her hair
